Natural Village (THE DEVELOPMENT)

Agriturismo-Filomena

La Filomena is made up of three houses, close to each other but not attached and totally integrated into a tiny rural village, Collina di Montefortino. It is a unique development that allows visitors a glimpse into the everyday life of the inhabitants of the village.

The agriturismo consists of three old family houses which have been redeveloped and renovated with the main house being the central point.

The main house is in the very centre of the village and is on two levels. It has been totally renovated and restored whilst preserving the unique characteristics of the original house. The house has been split into two apartments with a kitchen, sitting area, bedroom and bathroom and an additional single room with a bathroom.

On the ground floor, in what was an old barn, a museum of rural farming equipment has been established for the benefit of our guests.

At the side there are some old wine cellars which have been tastefully renovated and it is here we offer you the chance to sample the wine and taste typical products from this region of Le Marche.

Slightly further down the road there is another house on two levels. This is totally independent and has a living area and kitchen on the ground floor and a bedroom with one double bed and a single bed, together with an en-suite bathroom on the upper floor.

Further along the road is the main house which has an apartment on the upper floor, accessed via an external stairway. This apartment has a kitchen, living area with a reading corner, a bedroom and a bathroom.

From this area of the village, down a stone and tile staircase there is access to what was once a barn. Here, we have created a communal living area on the first floor for all our guests to enjoy reading, relaxing and enjoying good company. It is a beautiful room in which it is possible to stay warm and cosy in the winter, even when it is snowing outside and in the summer, sit outside on the covered veranda soaking up the sun, surrounded by the lush, green countryside, soaking up the atmosphere.

The ground floor of this barn has been converted into an extra wing of our farming museum which gives you a real insight into how the rural life in this area used to be.

From the barn there is a grass lined path and another stairway which lead to the swimming pool. Approaching the pool you will become aware of a panoramic view unfolding that will take your breath away. There could be no better place than here to spend a day under the blue sky, swimming in the pool and enjoying hydromassage and chromotherapy while soaking up the rays of the sun.

If you don’t want to spend the day in the sun there is a beautiful garden next to the pool with greenery and flowers which will allow you to relax in the shade. The garden is an excellent place to have your breakfast in the summer.

There are many other green spaces around the garden, all merging with their surroundings and giving our guests many choices of where to enjoy the abundant nature in the area.
